The balance between spiritual conviction (faith) and the exercise of intellect (thought) is at the heart of inner strength (the ability to remain serene, confident, and aligned with one's values, regardless of external circumstances such as failure, delay, or life's problems). A faith that refuses to think often remains fragile, as it resembles a structure built on the sand of emotions or traditions received without examination. Example of David who thot about what GOD had done for him, it is what sustained his faith. 1 Samuel 17:37 â–º
David said again: The Lord, who delivered me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear, will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said to David: Go, and may the Lord be with you! David remembered what GOD had done for him. Without the support of reflection, belief is vulnerable to the slightest tremors of doubt or the apparent contradictions of the outside world. If you could believe that this promise written throughout the Bible is for you, you are saved. All of this happens thru the channel of thought. The integration of thot is therefore not a threat to the Christian, but a necessary tool for fortification to move from a passive certainty to an unshakable conviction, which is faith. we do not believe out of habit, social pressure, or fear, but by a conscious and thoughtful choice. This intellectual approach transforms belief into a personal commitment where the individual understands the foundations of what they profess. Romans 10:9 â–º
If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. And Hegel, a German philosopher, argues that language is thot itself, which is not yet known. We reflect before declaring; we Christians. If you confess a word (Word of GOD) as the book of Romans says (it means that you have already thot about this spoken word). Ultimately, the alliance of intelligence and faith creates a lasting anchor in reality. By using thot as a safeguard, the individual protects themselves from the excesses of fanaticism or brutal disillusionment. An examined faith is a faith that breathes, capable of bearing fruit. It is in this constant dialog that the human being finds their true stature, making their search for meaning an adventure that is both rational (thought) and transcendent (faith). May the Lord bless you.
